From period 1 (1880 - 1920) A village farmhouse in the typical brown colours of southern Germany invites you to create many village scenes on the model railway layout. Large wooden doors, a wooden shed attached to the living area, an external wooden staircase and an elongated roof characterise this farmhouse in the village. NOTE: In Europe generally, farmers had a house in a village and travelled to tend the farm during the day. This was for their protection - safer in a group of houses in a village, than in an isolated house on the farm.
